Senior Analyst, U.S. Equities, S&P Dow Jones Indices
Florence Chapman is Senior Analyst, U.S. Equities at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). Her team is responsible for providing insights and thought leadership of S&P DJI’s U.S. equity index suite, including the S&P 500® and The Dow®, and assisting with the development of new benchmarks for market participants. In her role, Florence works closely with the Sales, Research & Design, Index Production, Channel and Marketing departments.
Prior to her current role, Florence worked in Index Investment Strategy at S&P DJI, where she was responsible for providing research and commentary on the entire S&P DJI product set, including U.S. and global equities, commodities, fixed income and economic indices.
Before joining S&P DJI, Florence worked in the DC & Retail Solutions Strategy team at Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), providing analysis and reporting to support asset allocation decisions on their DC pension range. Florence also worked as a graduate analyst at LGIM, training across their passive fund portfolio management, liability driven investing and real asset groups.
Florence is a CFA charterholder and holds the Certificate in ESG Investing and Investment Management Certificate (IMC) from the CFA Institute. She has a master’s degree in physics from the University of Warwick and is a qualified and experienced teacher with a PGCE in Secondary Science from the University of Cambridge.
